ภายหลัง 'ทีมจำลองเหตุการณ์' การเสียชีวิตของ 'แตงโม - นิดา พัชรวีระพงษ์' ได้นำเรือวิ่งไปตามเส้นทางเดียวกันกับวันเกิดเหตุ ณ บริเวณท่าเรือพิบูลย์ 1 ทีมงานซึ่งประกอบด้วย ‘มิสแกรนด์ 5 จังหวัด’ ได้ทดลองปฏิบัติตามคำบอกเล่าของ ‘แซน - วิศาพัช มโนมัยรัตน์’ ที่เคยเปิดเผยข้อมูลกับสื่อมวลชนเมื่อ 2 ปีก่อน 

โดยมี ‘ปานเทพ พัวพงษ์พันธ์’ คณบดีวิทยาลัยการแพทย์แผนตะวันออก มหาวิทยาลัยรังสิต ‘นพ.ธวัชชัย กาญจนรินทร์’ อดีตอาจารย์และแพทย์ศัลยกรรม โรงพยาบาลพระมงกุฎเกล้า และ ‘ณวัฒน์ อิสรไกรศีล’ บอสเวทีมิสแกรนด์ ร่วมบรรยายการปฏิบัติต่างๆ อยู่บนเรือสปีดโบ๊ทด้วย 

ทั้งนี้ มีรายงานจากผู้สื่อข่าวเพิ่มเติมว่า ในระหว่างการจำลองเหตุการณ์ของทีมอาสาสมัคร มีเจ้าหน้าที่จาก 'กรมสอบสวนคดีพิเศษ' (DSI) เข้าร่วมสังเกตการณ์อยู่ด้วย ท่ามกลางการตั้งข้อสังเกตจากสังคม ว่าจะมีการนำ ‘คดีแตงโม’ กลับเข้าสู่ชั้นพิจารณาคดีใหม่หรือไม่
